Carr City Centers – Wharf Intercontinental Hotel

The Mission

Carr planned construction of a new, 278-room hotel in Washington, D.C.  MSC’s mission was to develop a comprehensive plan for submission requirements to ensure final delivery of the project on schedule.

The Response

MSC developed the plan, covering the full scope of permitting for a ground floor restaurant, the hotel structure, public space and occupancy.  A special consideration was that the site of the project required approval for the building from the D.C. Commission of Fine Arts.

THE RESULT

The project is underway and, per MSC’s umbrella plan, is scheduled to deliver on time and open in 2017.
